Title 1 Overview

Title I Parent Resources & School‑Based Informational Sessions

Title I schools are committed to partnering with families to support student learning and success. As part of this commitment, each Title I school offers a variety of parent resources and informational sessions throughout the school year. These sessions are designed to help families understand academic expectations, support learning at home, and stay informed about school programs and services.

School‑based Title I sessions may include:

  • Annual Title I Parent Meeting
    An overview of the Title I program, parents’ rights, school goals, and how Title I funds support student achievement.
  • Curriculum and Academic Standards Sessions
    Information on grade‑level expectations, state academic standards, and what students are learning in literacy, math, science, and other core subjects.
  • Literacy and Math Family Nights
    Practical strategies and activities families can use at home to support reading, writing, and math skills.
  • Assessment and Testing Information Sessions
    Explanations of state and district assessments, including how results are used to support student growth.
  • Support for English Learners and Students with Disabilities
    Sessions focused on services, interventions, accommodations, and ways families can support diverse learning needs.
  • Technology and Digital Learning Sessions
    Guidance on using instructional technology, online learning platforms, and digital safety tools to support student learning.
  • Parent and Family Engagement Workshops
    Opportunities for families to learn about effective communication with teachers, supporting attendance, and promoting positive academic and social‑emotional outcomes.

Parents are encouraged to participate in these sessions, provide feedback, and collaborate with school staff. Additional Title I resources, including parent guides, learning materials, and community supports, are available through each school and the district.

Title I Compliance & Family Engagement Contacts

Each Title I school has designated staff to support program compliance and family engagement. The Title I Liaison assists families with Title I information, requirements, and services, while the Family Engagement Liaison helps connect families with resources and opportunities to support student learning. Families are encouraged to contact their school’s liaisons with questions or for support.
