National School Counseling Week

National School Counseling Week 2016, “School Counseling: The Recipe for Success,” will be celebrated from Feb. 1-5. The week aims to bring public attention to the unique contribution of professional school counselors.
Counselors work with teachers, parents, social workers, and many others to address the academic, personal and social development needs of all students. They refer students and families to community agencies that can help them meet their food, housing, and legal needs, as well as address other challenges they may be facing. Counselors help remove barriers to learning and help students succeed. Remember to thank a school counselor during National School Counseling Week.
