Parents and students gathered at Mitchell-Neilson Elementary on March 26th for a fun night of reading and activities. “Just Me and My Family” was a free event hosted by MCS Community Outreach and Read to Succeed which highlighted the importance of reading as a family. Community groups and volunteers were on hand to assist with registration, fun activities and to discuss agency services. Visitors had the chance to win door-prizes, participate in book giveaways and investigate clues as part of a scavenger hunt. The event also housed a book fair and reading room where guests could quietly read books.
