ITEMS OF INTEREST

SICK BANK
All full-time employees are eligible to join the Sick Leave Bank by obtaining application forms from the Human Resources Department. You donate two (2) of your sick days to join, and may request use of the bank for your illness when other leave has been exhausted. You may join during the months of August, September, and October.

TEACHERS
If you have or will have a new degree, please be sure you turn in your teacher license showing your new degree to the Human Resources Department on or before December 1st. You will get credit for that new degree retroactive back to the beginning of the school year. State law provides that after December 1st, you must wait until the next school year to begin receiving a higher salary for your new degree.

HEALTH INSURANCE
You will have the opportunity between October 15th-November 15th to change health insurance plans if you choose. This change will become effective January 1st.

DENTAL INSURANCE

Open enrollment for dental insurance is in November to become effective January 1. If you have not elected to participate in the dental insurance plan, or wish to add your dependents, you may do so during this time.

FLEXIBLE BENEFITS
In late October, enrollment for Dependent Care and Medical Reimbursement will be held. This will become effective January 1st. Also, if you have family insurance (health, dental, or both) you may want to take advantage of the tax savings offered to you by enrolling in our Premium Conversion benefit. This enrollment will be in late October, to be effective January 1st.
