Family Concert and Richard Siegel Foundation/MSO Music Excellence Award Ceremony
The Murfreesboro Symphony Orchestra and Murfreesboro City Schools invites the public to enjoy a Family Concert on Saturday, April 20th at 10:00 am. Tickets may be purchased in advance or at the door $5.
Other activities will include a musical instrument petting zoo, manned by MSO Musicians, face painting by MTSU Delta Omicron, a magician and balloon artist from Middle Tennessee Magic Club, and a coloring and drawing table hosted by the Murfreesboro Art League.
The Family Concert will begin at 11 am with “The Majesty of Tchailovsky.” The Murfreesboro Youth Orchestra and the 2013 Emerging Artist Contest winner will play with the MSO. The award ceremony will begin at noon for the Rutherford County public school students in 6th through 12th grade who have been selected for the Rutherford Sigel Foundation/MSO Music Excellence Award.
The performance will be held at the Discovery School. The Discovery School at Reeves-Rogers is located at 1807 Greenland Drive, Murfreesboro. Tickets may be purchased, at the door, by calling 615-898-1962, or via our website www.murfreesborosymphony.com.
