African American Cultural Celebration

Murfreesboro City Schools invites parents and community to attend Serving Up Soul.

Bradley Academy School of the Arts, Bellwood Preschool and MCS Community Outreach celebrates the African American legacy with Serving Up Soul African American Cultural Night.  Enjoy art, food and music on February 24^th from 5-7 pm at Patterson Park Community Center.

During this event there will be:

• Guest Speaker: Larry Flowers, WSMV-Channel 4
• Community agency booths
• Soul Food tasting
• Silent auction
• Art displays
• Entertainment from the African American community and the students of Bradley Academy and Bellwood Preschool.

Guest Speaker Larry Flowers is a reporter/photojournalist who began his career in 1990. Flowers is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi. He has won many awards including Mississippi’s Best Photographer from the Associated Press as well a regional award for his Crime Stoppers reporting in the southeast. Flowers currently works full time covering Murfreesboro and surrounding Rutherford County with Channel 4 News.
