8:15-8:40: Unpack, greet each other, read, write. Sometimes math exemplars are used for warm-up and discussion.

8:40-10:50- Literacy Block (8:40-9:30- Reader’s Workshop; 9:35-10:20- Writer’s Workshop; 10:20-10:50- Literacy Rotations, 10:50-11:00- Share time)

11:00-12:00- Whole group math activities M-W, with an assessment on Wednesday that is used to create small groups for TR and F. Small group rotations work in twenty-minute increments and utilize parents (2 on TR and 2 on F).

12:04-12:34- Lunch

12:34-12:40- Restroom

12:40-1:10- Recess

1:10-2:10- M and W- social studies; T and TR-science; Friday- Book Buddies/Review

2:10-2:30- word study/cursive/share-time/pack-up

2:30-3:15- Special areas (dismissal from special areas)
