Meet Mrs. Bunyi
Meet Mrs. Bunyi
I am going into my tenth year teaching and loving it. I have taught everything from second to sixth grade and look forward to the year to come. My tidbits of information include a teaching internship in Sweden, a three week tour of Japanese schools through the Japan Fulbright Memorial Fund, and an education just short of a doctorate (one course and dissertation).
Discovery is a wonderful school, brimming with the many challenges of advancing students with gifted and high achieving backgrounds. I attended a public school for the gifted as well and understand the diverse needs and strengths each child brings to the table. We are ready to rise to the occasion through such methods as curriculum compacting, enrichment clusters, real-life applications, integration of technology, and individualized work through a workshop method. I am looking forward to a great year!

Reading: I was a former literacy coach and work with Scholastic under the literacy umbrella. I LOVE teaching readers and writers!
Traveling: I love traveling and learning about various cultures. If my math is correct, I have covered 13% of the world. This means I have much to learn and much to see.
Family: I am blessed to have a great family. My son, Eli, is in first grade here at Discovery. My husband, Brayan, understands the demands and calling for this profession.
