K-1: Steady beats, patterns,
instruments, music games & dances, American Folk Songs
2nd-3rd: Sing and read basic
rhythmic &melodic patterns, learning
about composers, playing & improvising
on instruments.
4th-5th: Recorders-new notes &
beginning songs, performing a rap
song, meter & meter signatures,
singing rounds & canons
6th: Playing & improvising on
instruments, question & answer
phrases, performing anarrangement
on Orff instruments.

K-1: Rhythms, steady beats, songs using puppets & percussion instruments & keyboards
- Marches, lullabies, counting songs & patriotic songs
2nd-3rd: Beginning note reading
concepts using the Hal Leonard Piano Series, creating rhythms with percussion instruments & learning patriotic songs
4th-6th: Grand staff reading concept using
the Hal Leonard Series, solo & ensemble performances
* 5th grade is also working on recorders
