Title 1 helps children that need assistance in meeting the standards Tennessee has set for all children.  This includes children who are: 1) having trouble reading, 2) reading below grade level, 3) experiencing trouble understanding what they read, and 4) having difficulty with math concepts and calculations.  Mrs. Turner and Mrs. Urbina work with small groups of children

Reading Recovery is a program to provide additional instruction in basic reading skills.  Reading Recovery is in addition to the regular classroom instruction; it does not replace the regular classroom teacher.  In the Reading Recovery Program your child will receive INDIVIDUAL  instruction with a Certified Reading Recovery teacher.  Your child will meet with his/her Reading Recovery teacher  daily for 30 minutes.
