Misty Dobbs has been named Assistant Principal at Bradley Academy Elementary. The opportunity at Bradley became available after assistant principal Jenny Ortiz was selected as Principal.

Dobbs joins Murfreesboro City Schools from the Sumner County School District where she most recently served as Assistant Principal at Hendersonville High School. Dobbs began her career at Trousdale County Schools after receiving her B.S. in Elementary Education from Cumberland University. She received her M.A. and Ed.S degrees in Instructional Leadership from Tennessee Tech and also holds an instructional coaching certificate from Lipscomb.

Dobbs held several leadership positions in her previous districts including roles as an instructional math coach, interim assistant principal, lead educator and course presenter.

“Mrs. Dobbs will be a wonderful asset to our team at Bradley,” says Ortiz. “She has a wealth of experience and I am excited she will be joining us at Bradley Academy.

Dobbs and her husband, Jason, reside in Murfreesboro with their two boys.

Bradley Academy is located at 511 Mercury Blvd. and is the home to more than 450 students. Murfreesboro City Schools is a district of twelve schools committed to the academic and personal success of each child.
