W
e are delighted that you have chosen to visit the web site  of Murfreesboro City Schools, a state and national leader in  preschool through sixth-grade education. Murfreesboro City Schools' twelve schools provide quality education programs  and appropriate enrichment through extended school activities to a diverse population of nearly 7,200 P-6 children.

Our school system, including many individual teachers and programs, has been recognized often and recently for excellence at the local, state, and national levels. Long before the  Federal mandate of "No Child Left Behind," our system recognized the importance of addressing the needs of every child.

Since 1998, our mission statement has been "To assure academic and personal success for each child."  When you enroll your child in our system, our mission statement becomes our pledge to you.

For specific information related to our system, see our most recent FACTS BROCHURE  or call our administrative offices 615-893-2313.
