EMPLOYMENT PROCEDURES-CLASSIFED POSITIONS

  1. Application - All applicants must request and complete an employment application from the
    Human Resources Office as part of the application process.

    For an application, send a self-addressed stamped envelope to:

  2. Submit the following to the Human Resources Department:

    Completed Murfreesboro City Schools application

  3. Interview(s)

  4. If Recommended for Employment:

     

    1. Completion of I-9, W-4 and other employment related documents. Federal law requires
      identification and eligibility verification prior to employment. One of the following documents
      must be provided prior to issuance of an employment contract:

      Employment Authorization:

      Social Security card
      U.S. birth certificate
      U.S. Passport or other approved
      U.S. Government documents

       

      Identification:

      State Drivers license
      U.S. Passport or other approved
      U.S. Government documents

    2. Fingerprinting - All applicants shall be fingerprinted. Criminal background checks are required for all positions.

     

  5. Prior to entering service, all employees shall present a certificate showing a satisfactory health record which shall include:

     

    1. Results of a tuberculin test; and
    2. A physicians statement indicating the individual is free of contagious and communicable diseases.
